Purushothama Rao is bereaved

Mr. R. Purushothama Rao, an old timer on Muse India, lost his dear wife on Aug 12, 2013. Following a cardiac arrest she breathed her last at 3.20 pm yesterday. It is very shocking and tragic.

Just a couple of months back we had visited Mr. Rao's home in Guntur during the Guntur Poetry Festival, and had enjoyed the delicious lunch prepared by her. Thereafter Mr. Rao was in Hyderabad in connection of his book launch. There I met their handsome son, Shreekanta.

Years of contact while editing and posting Rao's poems on Your Space I developed a rare relationship with the family. I had attended a few family weddings, too. Mrs. Rao happens to be the sister of Prof. T. Chandra Mouli, a reputed writer and a contributor to Muse India.

I am creastfallen and feel as if I have lost a sister by her death. We deeply mourn her sad demise and share sorrow with Mr. Purushothama Rao and Professor Chandra Mouli. We pray her soul to rest in peace.
